Four Legged Myrtle, In Contemplation of That Which is Not Yet Revealed (2013)
Made for an Intro to ZBrush class; Gnomon, Fall of 2013.
I'd been doing it on my own for close to two years at the time, but kept bumping up against the same roadblocks over and over again. The class was extremely helpful in demystifying the software, and helped greatly in shaping a workflow that would make the kinds of multi-asset pieces I'd been wanting to make a possibility going forward.
She's based on a photo of Myrtle Corbin taken in 1881 (see below) - but as with most of the things I sculpt, she took some twists and turns en route and turned into something other.
